Pogo_Eli Welcome to another edition of Game Reviews – where we at Pogo take some time out to look at our downloadable selection and give you our opinions. The game in theDownload Game Center we’re reviewing this time is Gardenscapes: Mansion Makeover

Pogo_Al: If you’re familiar with Gardenscapes, you’ll know how to play this one. It’s similar to the original: you find objects to sell, but then you use to the money to upgrade and decorate the mansion instead of the garden. Unfortunately, it was too similar for me.

Pogo_Eli I found the graphics to be quite engaging and the game moves along at a nice pace. What I really like is that I’m working towards something.

Pogo_Al: There are two modes, timed and untimed. Full screen is also available but the resolution was somewhat lacking on my monitor. At least it didn’t affect gameplay.

Pogo_Eli I loved searching for coins to get me more time on the clock. And I really wanted to finish furnishing the entry room, so that was my incentive to play faster.

Pogo_Al:Having played a number of hidden object games, this one was a little easier than I expected. I agree making over the manion is a nice touch, but it’s not much more compelling versus the original game.

Pogo_Eli I enjoyed interacting with the main character in the living area and the dog was the best! My favorite part, however, was the mini-game out in the garden where I had to gather the biscuits to rescue the dog and throw a stick. That was unexpected fun. I do have to agree with others that it would be great if we could decorate other rooms in the house. Maybe that will come next?

Pogo_Al: I just didn’t enjoy it as much as you did. If you love the original Gardenscapes and have to complete your collection, then I think you’ll like this one. If you’re looking for a different experience, I think you’ll be somewhat disappointed. It’s not that much different.
