Dear Pogo Players,

I’m once again pleased to present to you the Pogo Player’s Guide to Netspeak! If you’ve ever wondered what some of those chat room acronyms mean, look no further – we’ve got your guide! And the best part is that these come directly from Pogo players!

Every year we query the Pogo players and update this list, which doesn’t merely act as a guide for Pogo, but for all over the Internet. And for those who wish to keep this by their computer in handy-dandy printed form, here’s the Printable Pogo Player’s Guide to Netspeak

Common Abbreviations:

    • a&f = always & forever
    • aamof = as a matter of fact
    • adn = any day now
    • afaic = as far as I’m concerned
    • afaik = as far as I know
    • afk = away from keyboard
    • ai = artificial intelligence (often in reference to computer players)
